Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian musician and singer. There are more than 20 albums that have been made available by her. Her music is categorized as alternative rock, folk rock but also has influences of jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco is frequently regarded as the feminist's icon and Grammy-winning artist is considered the pioneer in DIY music. It was one of the very first musicians to establish her own label in the year 90. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian heritage and her mother came from Montreal. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. The song is featured on her sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. Another version of the song appears on the film soundtrack for the 1999 Canadian love story Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it was revealed that she had set up a three-day workshop at the Louisiana plantation.
