Ellie Goulding is a British singer and songwriter. The singer was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December, 1986 in Hereford. Ellie Goulding, a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2010, when her smash songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed received a lot of attention from the media. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is at the forefront, like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of popular contemporary music and of independent, artistic pop. Her soprano voice as well as her talent for writing emotional songs make her distinct. Polydor Records offered her a contract as major label. She began to prepare for her debut.
