KellyKelly Clarkson in her full Kelly Brianne Clarkson was an American artist and performer who gained fame when she was the winner of American Idol's contest for talent in 2002. Clarkson was raised in Burleson Texas (a suburb in Fort Worth), where her singing abilities were first recognized by her seventh grade singing teacher. Clarkson left high school to move to Los Angeles where she failed to succeed in the entertainment industry. The show was able to select her as a participant in the Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol singing competition, that allowed the viewers to vote for their preferred singer. Clarkson's charismatic voice, personality as well as her humour, were instantly appreciated by the viewers. Clarkson took home $1 million and an agreement recording in partnership with RCA as her prize.
