sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946, as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He is the older child of the Italian born Francesco "Frank" Stallone Sr who worked as a hairdresser. Jackie Stallone, an astrologer and dancer. Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother, is an actor, musician and hairdresser. The complications of childbirth led to the lower left portion of Sylvester's face disabled, giving him the now iconic "snarling" face and slight slurred voice. Stallone had a few of his early years in foster care as a result of his parent's volatile relationship. The couple eventually divorced. Stallone studied drama in Switzerland at the American College before moving on to Miami University. Stallone left school in order to explore acting in New York City.
