
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimenez (born 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[5] is a Mexican and American actress and film producer. Her career started in Mexico which she played in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just among her numerous Hollywood credits. Hayek's performance as Frida Kahlo, a painter, in Frida (2002) which was a biographical feature she created which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6for the role of Frida Kahlo in Frida (2002). Also, she was awarded her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek appeared in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico films in the following years and shifted her focus to producing.
